As volunteer redshirts and cadets, we are committed to meeting the needs of our department and the community through superior acts of selfless volunteerism.  Through our adventures, events, and tasks we are also commited to providing as much positive exposure for our redshirts and cadets as possible to ensure them a better chance of full time employment not only in Peoria, but also several other departments valley wide.  Click >>HERE<< to see a list of our past redshirts and cadets who have been hired full time, their length of time as a Peoria Redshirt or Cadet, and what department they were hired onto.  Our program is currently 43+ strong and looking to grow with our department through the years with continuing to successfully help our department and community while maintaining a great reputation with the rest of the valley departments and providing a better chance of employment to our redshirt and cadets.  If you are interested in our program please read below:

Interested in becoming a Peoria Cadet?  If so follow the easy steps listed below:

     1.  Locate the link at the bottom labeled "Peoria Fire Cadet Interest Card" click on it, fill it out and submit it.

     2.  Write a Minimum 500 word essay (seperate from interest card) telling us about yourself, and why you want to be a cadet.

     3.  Mail your completed essay to: (you may also bring it in by hand to the address below)

      4.  Keep an eye on your email and keep your phone close for a phone call.
